Your orchestra has great desire to work. But most of all, I liked that the musicians of orchestra are young. Speaking of the Symphony Orchestra of Tatarstan and its conductor Mr. Sladovsky, he is a maestro and I am captivated by his talent. It is a great pleasure to perform with such a magnificent orchestra under the direction of maestro Sladkovsky, especially at such a festival as Concordia. I got a lot of intellectual pleasure from the meeting! Music is a very special language with which you can convey what is impossible to convey in ordinary words. I would like to continue to cooperate with the Tatarstan National Symphony Orchestra. St. Matthew Passion was performed not by the full composition of the orchestra, but only by its part. I hope that in the future the TNSO repertoire will be replenished with my larger works for the whole orchestra. This is my first time in Kazan. The impressions of the orchestra and maestro Sladkovsky are absolutely fantastic! Wonderful Hall, the wonderful audience! I am delighted! I believe that the Tatarstan National Symphony Orchestra plays at a world level! It was the first time we played together with the RT state Symphony orchestra under the direction of Alexander Sladkovsky, but I had the feeling that we played music together many times - it was so natural!!! The day before, we finished our rehearsal much earlier than expected, and it didn't even take time, because it was extremely bright! It wasn't work, it was fun! I knew that the orchestra under the direction of Maestro Sladkovsky was developing and had reached great heights. But it was still a big surprise for me that the orchestra is now at the world level! I am so grateful to Alexander Sladkovsky and TNSO for taking the time to come to Tambov at the Rachmaninoff Festival. I was lucky to listen from behind the curtains as the orchestra performed Tchaikovsky’s “Romeo and Juliet”, Rachmaninov and two encores - I enjoyed it a lot. Knowing Sladkovsky for a very long time and observing how the TNSO is growing, you can immediately understand how high the bar for the orchestra is set. And the musicians successfully cope with this - time after time, from performance to performance - the level of skill is growing significantly. Alexander Sladkovsky... Greatsounding! Greatorchestra! They can hear each other while they are at it, they’re experienced and well-equipped. I’m happy to be here and I’m happy for Kazan. Now you’ve got a maestro and an orchestra that have truly brought the cultural level of Tatarstan up to the international standards! Always happy to be in Kazan!
