The Fantasy cinema concert is a new interpretation of classical works performed by a symphony orchestra, complemented by stunning animation from famous artists.
During the film concert, viewers will see excerpts from the classic 1940 film and excerpts from the later 2000 version.
The 1940 film Fantasy is a gem of Disney animation and has won two Academy Awards. From an artistic point of view, Fantasy is the greatest work in the history of animation. Walt Disney and a team of talented animators, together with Leopold Stokowski's Philadelphia Orchestra, set out to create music that could be seen and images that could be heard. The result of their work was the emergence of a new, previously known form of animation art.
Fantasy-2000 is a collection of seven new episodes and 1 episode from the classic 1940 film with alternating musical pieces. Like its predecessor, Fantasy-2000 was created with the use of innovations and advanced technological tools in the field of animation of its time, which allowed to create amazing images.
World masterpieces will be performed by the Tatarstan National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia and the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Sladkovsky. Conductor - Ayrat Kashaev.
