I go to almost all orchestra rehearsals and am amazed at how Alexander Sladkovsky works. He goes through every score with the orchestra to the smallest detail. This is awesome! The current artistic Director invites the greatest soloists to Kazan. The orchestra, passing their skill through itself, is growing every day. I remember the great Rakhlin concerts. I can say with confidence that today's orchestra sounds the same, if not better.
