ANTHOLOGIES OF MUSIC BY COMPOSERS OF TATARSTAN

On January 23, 2013, a presentation of CDs containing an Anthology of music by Tatarstan composers recorded on the prestigious Sony Music and RCA Red Seal Records labels took place.this is a unique project aimed at recreating the most complete picture of Tatarstan's symphonic heritage. The production quality of the Anthology is ensured by the collaboration of GSO RT with the producer and Director of the Berlin Studio "B-sharp" Philip Needel. A set of three albums was recorded in six sessions at the Saidashev state Grand concert hall in August 2012. The first disc features classical music, the second disc features contemporary female composers, and the third disc features music by male composers. The sound duration is 176 minutes.
Disc 1: Fasil Akhmetov (Symphony in f minor ("Kazan Symphony"), Almaz monasypov ("Musa Jalil"), Farid Yarullin ("Dance of the fire witch and Shaitan" and "Wedding dance" from the ballet "Shurale"), Nazib Zhiganov (Symphony No. 2 "Sabantuy"), Alexander Mirgorodsky (fantasy Overture on themes by Salih Saidashev for Symphony orchestra and organ), Salih Saidashev ("March of the red army").
Disc 2: Masguda Shamsutdinova (Symphony "Genghis Khan" in 2 parts), RESEDA Akhiyarov ("Mo?ly sazym"), Zulfiya Raupova ("Golden temple"), Elena Anisimova ("Shudon Gur").
Disc 3: Anatoly Luppov ("Tatar Capriccio"), Rinat Enikeev ("Rhapsody" for large Symphony orchestra), Shamil Timerbulatov (Symphony No. 5), Rashid Kalimullin ("Symphonic frescoes"), Alexander Tchaikovsky ("Tamerlane's Camp").
Anthology is a non-profit project. Discs representing the musical art of Tatarstan will be presented to guests of Kazan during the 2013 Universiade, as well as presented during foreign trips. Regarding the promotion of the Anthology disc Philip Needel said the following: "The distribution of this record, of course, is primarily intended for Russian "ears". However, since the format of an Anthology CD itself, and with such a unique content as symphonic music of a particular region, is an unprecedented thing in itself, we certainly want to promote the Anthology in small batches in the West as well. The master disks are ready and listened to by Sladkovsky. "It's all right", - he is satisfied, - " there was enough material even for the fourth album. Mr. Needel suggested publishing it separately from the Anthology."
